Recently, the public was taken aback when Dragana Mirković announced that she is getting a divorce from Toni Bijelić after nearly a quarter of a century together. Their marriage had seemed enduring, with the couple amassing substantial riches over time, evidenced by assets including a castle in Vienna, a television station in Požarevac, and a range of companies.
Despite their wealth, which includes a collection of vehicles estimated to be worth several million euros, the songstress emphasizes that material wealth is of little interest to her. Whether she travels in a Smart car or a luxury Maybach, she claims it does not affect her because she has never been fascinated by extravagant possessions.
Dragana admits owning an impressive collection of vehicles is a fact. However, she shared with the Croatian media «24sata» that she has a different perspective on luxury. In contrast to her husband, who enjoyed showcasing his vehicles through her, Dragana harbors a fondness for more nostalgic means of transport. She treasures the simplicity of cars like a classic Stojadin, Yugo, or Fiat, which evoke memories of a time when such models were common in her homeland, over any flashy ride.
The singer conveys modesty as a value ingrained from her upbringing, expressing a preference for a lifestyle free from ostentation. To her, flaunting money on insignificancies like designer apparel and expensive handbags seems fruitless. She points out that any luxurious item she possesses was likely a gift, underlining a principle of thriftiness deeply rooted in her upbringing.
