According to regulations, there are certain cases where it is necessary to change the vehicle registration certificate and driver’s license. Citizens should be aware of these to avoid heavy fines.
There are six cases where it is necessary to change the vehicle registration certificate:
— Cases where the vehicle changes its paint color;
— Cases where the vehicle has been registered, with a license plate of white background, black letters and numbers, to a license plate with a yellow background, black letters and numbers, and vice versa;
— Cases of extending the vehicle registration certificate;
— Cases where there are changes in the owner’s information (owner’s name, personal identification number, address);
— Cases where the vehicle registration certificate is damaged, faded, torn; the license plate is damaged, faded, broken or the owner needs to change the old vehicle registration certificate.
— Cases of reissuing the vehicle registration certificate when the vehicle registration certificate is lost.
There are three cases where it is necessary to change the driver’s license:
— People with a driver’s license with a term need to change the driver’s license before the expiration date; people with a damaged driver’s license with a term of use can change the driver’s license.
— People with a class E driver’s license who are 5 years old for men and 50 years old for women, who want to continue driving, if they are healthy enough as prescribed, are considered to change the driver’s license from class D downwards.
— In case the year of birth, surname, name, middle name written on the driver’s license is inconsistent with the identity card or citizen identification card, the driver’s license management agency will carry out the procedure to change the new driver’s license in accordance with the information written in the identity card or citizen identification card.
Those who need to change the vehicle registration and driver’s license will be heavily fined the longer they keep it.
There are mandatory cases where you have to retake the driver’s license test:
— In case a citizen loses the driver’s license for the second time and within 2 years from the issuance of the first loss. In this case, citizens will have to take the theory test again to be reissued the driver’s license.
— For cases where citizens lose their driver’s license for the third time within 2 years, you must retake both parts, theory and practice, to be reissued a new driver’s license.
— For cases where your driver’s license has expired from 3 months to 1 year, citizens must retake the theory test.
— For cases where your driver’s license has expired for 1 year, you must take both the theory and practice tests to be reissued a new driver’s license as prescribed.
