Administraţia Naţională de Meteorologie has issued new yellow and orange warnings for today and tomorrow. According to specialists, the felt temperatures will exceed 40 degrees Celsius.
On Tuesday, in Banat, Oltenia, most of Muntenia, as well as in the south of Crișana and south-west of Transylvania, high temperatures will be recorded for this date, the maximums will generally be between 32 and 35 degrees and locally there will be a heatwave. The thermal discomfort will be high, the temperature-humidity index (ITU) reaching and slightly exceeding the critical threshold of 80 units.
Locally, the night will be tropical, with minimum temperatures that will be around 20 degrees.
On Wednesday, the heatwave will extend throughout the country. In the north of Crișana, Maramureș, most of Transylvania, Moldova, the eastern half of Muntenia and continental Dobrogea, the maximum temperatures will generally be between 32 and 35 degrees and locally there will be a heatwave. In the coming days, the heatwave will persist in most of the country, and the thermal discomfort will remain high.
