Generația de Aur: Belodedici Pierde Permisul De Conducere!

Miodrag Belodedici, a former international football player, lost his driving license on Sunday, May 26, after being stopped by a police crew at the end of the match between the Golden Generation and the Legends of the World, in which he played. He was fined 1,485 lei and his driving license was taken for 90 days.

Belodedici explained that everything happened after the party at the restaurant, when he was stopped by a police crew who followed him and made him blow into the breathalyzer. «They stopped me when I left the restaurant, from the party. I left around 3 something. They came after me and stopped me. They stood there and waited in ambush. They followed me with the Police car, with the beacon, about 10 meters behind», said the winner of the European Champions Cup with Steaua Bucharest and Red Star Belgrade.

The former great international, who turned 60 six days ago, also detailed the reason why his license was taken. «I drank two spritzes with the boys. After I was stopped by the Police, they made me blow and I came out with alcohol 0.08. Can you imagine how drunk I was? Sure, it’s a contravention… I was taken to the Police, they kept me there for two hours, they took my blood… I told them I’m not drunk, I can stand on one leg. And they took my license for 90 days», the former international said.

54,967 spectators attended Saturday night, May 25, the football match Golden Generation — Legends of the World 3-2, played on the National Arena 30 years after Romania’s best performance, qualifying in the quarterfinals of the USA 194 World Cup.
