The latest recommendations, updated in 2023, from the Guide for the Prevention and Management of the Diabetic Foot IWGDF are now available in Romanian, following a project implemented with support and will be launched on Thursday, June 20, 2024, from 18.0, online.
Registrations are open to all those interested in learning about the new approaches in diabetic foot care. The international guide dedicated to the diabetic foot includes 8 distinct chapters, to which is added 1 chapter referring to the methodology used for the elaboration of each individual chapter, as well as an annex in the form of a published article with criteria and definitions.
The Romanian version was made by a team of 8 professionals from different medical specialties, experts in the approach of the diabetic foot, as follows:
* Practical Guide on the Prevention and Management of the Diabetic Foot IWGDF, adapted by Dr. Georgeta Inceu, Cluj Napoca.
* Prevention: Guidelines on the prevention of ulcers at the foot level in people with diabetes, chapter adapted by Dr. Daniel Cosma, Horezu
* Guide on the classification of ulcers at the foot level in people with diabetes, chapter adapted by Prof. Dr. Cornelia Bala, Cluj Napoca
* IWGDF/IDSA Guide on Foot Infections: Guidelines on the diagnosis and treatment of foot infection in people with diabetes, adapted by Conf. Dr. Octavian Andercou, Cluj Napoca
* Intersocietal guidelines IWGDF, ESVS, SVS on peripheral arterial disease in patients with diabetes and foot ulcer, adapted by Dr. Horațiu Coman, Cluj Napoca
* Guidelines on the discharge of foot ulcers in people with diabetes, Physiotherapist Iulia Drăgoi, Timișoara
* Recommendations on interventions to improve the healing of foot ulcers in people with diabetes, adapted by Chief Work. Dr. Eduard Catrina, Bucharest
* Guidelines on the diagnosis and treatment of active Charcot neuro-osteoarthropathy in people with diabetes, adapted by Chief Work. Dr. Eduard Catrina, Bucharest
* Standards for the elaboration and methodology of the international working group for the guidelines on the diabetic foot 2023, adapted by Norina Gâvan, Cluj Napoca.
