Pensions for the month of May will be delivered earlier, by Easter. This was the decision of the Government. Pensions will arrive by May 3, before Easter. This applies to both those delivered by mail and those transferred to the card. The Government’s decision was due to the mini-holiday of May 1 and Easter, during which civil servants will not work.
SOME PENSION HOUSES HAVE ALREADY STARTED THE PROCEDURES FOR ADVANCED PAYMENT
The Bistrita-Nasaud County Pension House announced, through a statement, that they are starting the procedures for transferring pensions earlier: «Through Government Decision no.42 / 25.04.2024, the necessary funds were ensured for the advance payment of pensions and other rights provided by special laws, for the month of May 2024.
The Bistrita-Nasaud County Pension House has made all the efforts to transfer — until April 30 — the necessary amounts to CN Posta Romana SA and the commercial banks with which it has concluded agreements for the payment of pension rights, so that the money rights for May 2024 arrive as soon as possible to beneficiaries, before the Easter Holidays», the Bistrita-Nasaud County Pension House announced.
WHEN WILL THE PENSIONS ARRIVE?
All 5.0.0 pensions will be delivered by May 3. Pensions through Posta Romana have already started to be delivered. Pensions transferred to the card will arrive in the pensioners’ accounts during the period 2-3 May 2024.
Pensions received by mail arrive, normally, between the 2nd and 4th of each month. Those transferred to the card usually arrive between the 12th and 14th of each month.

May 1, Wednesday — day off by law
May 2, Thursday — the government decided that all budgeters (including postmen) have a day off
May 3, Friday — it’s Good Friday, so it’s a day off
May 4, Saturday — day off
May 5, Sunday — day off and Easter
May 6 — day off as the first day of Easter.
