Dezvăluire ȘOCANTĂ: Cum te păcălesc supermarketurile să cheltui mai mult!

Shopping at supermarkets such as Lidl, Kaufland, Carefour, or Mega Image on busy days can be a real nightmare. It is very likely that you will spend more money than you would have wanted and you may even come home with a flu. Therefore, it is recommended to go shopping on days when demand is not so high.

A Fotprints AI study shows that stores are extremely crowded on the 5th and 20th of the month. During these periods, Romanians receive their salaries and go shopping.

«Romanians synchronize their purchases with payday, most transactions being recorded around the 5th and 20th of the month. The preferred time for shopping is between 1:0 and 13:0, when planned purchases predominate, and evenings are reserved for quick purchases after work hours,» the study shows.

The Fotprints AI study analyzed consumption habits in Romania, and according to the data, the balance between pragmatism and the desire for quality becomes a direction for Romanians when shopping in 2025. In rural areas, people buy basic foods such as oil, sugar or dairy products, while in the big cities of the country, residents look for premium and convenient products, including sweet snacks, mineral water and processed meat, which indicates an adaptation to a dynamic and urbanized lifestyle. Thus, those who live in cities are tempted to spend more at Lidl, Carefour, Kaufland or Auchan.

«The analysis of consumption behavior in Romania reflects a fairly complex dynamic, in which consumers manage their budgets carefully, but do not give up small pleasures. Retailers and brands that understand these nuances and adjust their strategies accordingly will have a significant competitive advantage. Through the Fotprints AI platform, we offer valuable insights that help companies optimize stocks and marketing strategies, adapting in real time to market needs,» said Dan Marc, CEO and co-founder of Fotprints.
