A 40-year-old Ukrainian woman, a refugee in Romania, is among the victims of the man now sought by the police. The woman is a doctor by profession and says she met the individual in April 202, in Bucharest, shortly after the outbreak of the war.

«At work, I was told that he is a very rich man. He said he was a millionaire. It’s very hard for me to understand how he could manipulate me. At first, he suggested that I smoke some marijuana cigarettes. I didn’t realize what was happening at that moment, and he sexually abused me,» the woman said.
The scammer told her that he would invest money in a canning factory to be delivered to the Israeli army, promising her double profit.
«He told me he has friends in Hungary who make money out of anything and at that time they buy kosher canned food for Israel. I didn’t have the whole amount at that time and I had to borrow the rest of the money and the whole amount was 30.0 euros, promising me that he would return 74.0 euros,» the Ukrainian woman said further.
She later gave him almost another 25.0 euros for his dental implants. Only when she saw that he was no longer answering her phone, she now believes that she is not the man’s only victim.
