Johny Wactor, known for his role in «General Hospital», was fatally shot in Los Angeles while trying to stop a robbery. The armed attack took place on Saturday, around 3 in the morning, in downtown Los Angeles. The actor’s mother recounted that Wactor was just leaving a bar when he saw three individuals near his car. Initially, he thought his car was being towed because it was parked on the street.
When he realized what was happening, one of the three men shot him. Wactor, 37, was seriously injured and rushed to the hospital. Despite the efforts of the doctors, he died. Subsequently, the suspects left with the car and, at the moment, none of them have been arrested.
Wactor’s agent, David Shaul, stated that Wactor was «a true example for all those who knew him». «The time spent with Johny was a privilege. He literally gave you the shirt off his back. He left a void in our hearts forever,» Shaul added.
Wactor played Brando Corbin in the series General Hospital, which was first broadcast in 1963, from 2020 to 202. He also appeared in other films and TV series, including Station 19, NCIS, Westworld and the video game Call of Duty: Vanguard.
